- Build capacity and raise awareness on the concept of integrated watershed /Landscape planning for central and local stakeholders.
- Develop a watershed management plan of Prek Thnot watershed with participation of stakeholders
- Share the experiences and lesson learned from the project to stakeholders. |

Prek Thnot watershed covers the provinces of Kampong Speu and Kandal and Phnom Penh, the Capital City of Cambodia. The upstream part of Prek Thnot watershed are located in Kampong Speu province and play a very important role in in providing ecosystem goods and services and support the livelihoods and production systems of the downstream communities. The entire watershed partly or entirely covers approximately 65 Communes, and six Districts. |

The project will develop a watershed management plan based on optimized land allocation. |
| 16. BENEFITS (Who will benefit, directly and indirectly, from the project?) |
|
The beneficiaries of the project will be the communities living within Prek Thnot Watershed (representing the upper part and lower part of the watershed. The project aims to provide a judicious use of the watershed that will maximize the productive and protective function of the watershed landscape. This can be achieved thru a systematic approach of planning the watershed. The integrative landscape planning approach will be conducted thru consultations. |

The project contributes to poverty alleviation through development of entrepreneurship for local community in the project site. The preparation of land use will also reduce the risk caused by nature events/disasters. |

The project has completed the first year period, and 1 year was suspension. The project now starting the implementation of the second year period starting from June 2017. In the Second Year studies on socioeconomic in Prek THnoat and the land use plan for Prek Thnoat. |

This project is funded by APFNet (Asia-Pacific Network for sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation) and will be implemented for three years over the period from 2015 to 2019. |
