The overall object of the project is to improve to traffic safety, to enhance accessibility on public facilities (school, markets, hospital and pagodas, etc.), to increase automobile between regions and to facilitate trade with other country. Moreover, it is expected to contribute in economic development of Cambodia, balanced local development, poverty reduction and employment increase and so on. |

Total length: 134.8Km (PK12+300-PK147+100), widening existing 2 lanes to 4 lanes up to PK25+700(L=11.1m) with AC pavement and from PK25+700-PK147+100, 2 lanes with AC pavement. |
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.) |
Poor pavement condition, insufficient road width, insufficient level for international route, insufficient slope protection against flood, bridges in poor condition, traffic congestion in major cities/areas.
Small volume of transportation of goods , high transportation cost, very slow to promote regional development by enhancing productivity of agriculture and no upgrading living standards living standards of residents in the project area. |

Direct benefit: Reduction of vehicle operation costs, travel time, and traffic accidents and increase in transportation convenience, right time, stability, etc.
Indirect benefit: Benefit of environment costs, effects of local development, expansion of the market zone, improvement of the local industry structure, etc. |
