14. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Provide a description of the project and all its components.) |
An extrapolation of available survey and clearance data done for the purpose of developing the APMBC article 5 Extension Request focused on mine include the estimation clearance on Mine and ERW. A new comprehensive baseline survey (BLS) is now underway that will generate a much firmer estimate of contamination which, undoubtedly, will remain substantial. In 2023, the remaining of landmine and ERW contamination is over 1,817 km2 of land. |

- Policy and strategy on mine action is linked to national and sub-national policy
- CMAA can create existing monitoring system to deliver real quality for sustainable of development result and impact
- Minimize contaminated areas of mine/ERW which located in poorest provinces and most effected to be free impact |

People who living in community effected by landmine/ERW especially the particularly areas |

Generally, mine clearance is effected the environment such bush and small tree cutting because it is easy for using detector or detection dog. But, mine clearance is an assistance to reduce poverty because it converts landmine/ERW contaminated areas to safe land for agriculture and other settlements. |

Currently, most de-mining organizations are trying to be transparent on gender issues in mine action. Recently, many de-mining organizations have recruited women to work as de-miners, EOD and dog handlers and women are promoted to decision-making positions. |

CMAA has enough capacity and experience in implementing mine/ERW clearance project

- bidding mine clearance
- Clearing in provinces effected by the most impact of mine
