13. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: (Describe the major purpose of the project.)
- Improvement of Quality of Medicines. - Improvement of Quality of Medical Equipment. - Strengthening the food hygiene and safety in consumers sectors food establishments and strengthen the implementation of the Five Keys to increase the safer traditional food markets.
14. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Provide a description of the project and all its components.)
This project aims at: -Ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical product for people health in country and for export as well. -Strengthen pharmacovigilance system in country by monitoring and reporting adverse Drug Reaction to ensure safety of usage of drugs for patients. -Strengthening pharmacovigilance system in Cambodia -Ensure the delivery of essential drugs with quality to health services for Cambodia people and ensure the delivery of drugs in private health services as quality, efficiency and safety. -Investigate the counterfeit and substandard drugs to eliminate. -Eliminate the illegal drugs outlets and illegal health services for reduction poverty of Cambodia people. -Strengthen the registration systems for western medicines, traditional medicines, medical devices, medical equipments, and cosmetics compliance to Asean requirements. -Training on drugs and health products management at Hospital, OD, Health Center level in Province. -Ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products. -Monitoring and management on Narcotic and Psychotropic drugs to pharmacies in Municipal- Provinces. -Training on Narcotic and Psychotropic drugs to pharmacies in Municipal-Provinces. -Develop to the national food safety policy and strategic plan. -Develop to the street food policy. -Develop to the food hygiene and safety regulation. -Improve of the TOT food inspectors by Municipal Health Department and Provincial Health Departments on the procedure of inspection in Restaurants, Catering Food establishments and street vended food. -Improve of the training on Good Hygiene Practices to owners, managers, cookers and food service of restaurants, catering, food establishments and street food vendors in Phnom Penh and Provinces. -Strengthen of the inspection of food hygiene and safety in restaurants, food catering, food establishments and street vended food in Phnom Penh and Provinces. -Surveillance of hygiene and safety food program for restaurants, food catering establishments and street vended food in Phnom Penh and Provinces using test kit, in analysis the bacterials and chemical substances available and used in food, its health impact of consumers. -Develop food safety emergency response system and surveillance of food poisoning outbreaks. -Strengthen and disseminate the meaning of sub-decree 133 an marketing of products for infant and young child feeding to health officers and businessmen who sell products for infant and young child feeding in Phnom Penh and Provinces. -Strengthen the inspection and the implementation of sub-decree 133 on marketing of products for infant and young child feeding in Phnom Penh and Provinces. -Strengthen the issuance for Health Certificates for food products. -Strengthening the control and inspection of street vender food hygiene and strengthen the implementation of the five keys to increase the safer traditional food markets. -Training on food hygiene and safety for traditional food markets to vendors and food inspectors in Kampot and Siem Reap Provinces.
