- People can access the clean water with good quality, affordable tariff and sustainable.
14. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Provide a description of the project and all its components.)
- Increase the capacity of water treatment plant for 6 public waterworks - Improve and extend the pipeline system in 5 Provincial towns - New treatment plant and network in Stung Treng province - Pipe network expansion in Siem Reap
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.)
- Rapid growth of urban population, and many urban residents lack access to adequate and safe water supply services - Typical problems include old piping, inadequate coverage, poor operation and maintenance (O&M), intermittent supply of water, water quality issues, and high levels of nonrevenue water (NRW).

- Cambodian's people (who live in urban area) can access the clean water for livelihood

The women will benefit a lot from the project because normally women are taking care on the water consumption​ for their families. So after project complete, they will not spend a lot of time to take the water for the family consumption.

Yes, with the assistance from Project Implementation Assistant Consultant, Ministry of Industry & Handicraft will have enough capacity to implement the project.
23. STATUS OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION: (Provide a brief update on the progress of the project to date. Discuss any major problems causing delays in project implementation.)
- Design Build of​ Water Supply project at Stung Treng has been awarded to KIM MEX and SPBH joint venture on 19th December 2019. The contractor is doing detail design and starting construction. - The Contract NCB / C1a Urgent WTP rehabilitation civil contractor for 5 towns continues to improved his progress in Stoung civil works on underground tank and pump station and clean water tank in Kampong Thom.
