This project will contribute to the implementation of the Ministry of Environment's 2023-2028 Chakra Strategy for the Environment, responding to the first angle, pollution control, of the first strategy, cleanliness, and in line with the Pentagon Strategy, Phase 1. The 7th Royal Government has set goals and paid high attention to environmental work, especially climate change in Cambodia. |

To deliver an assessment on the mitigation potential from industrial generators through the preparation of a strategic plan to reduce air pollution from industrial generators and strengthen the capacity of officials to monitor air pollution sources from the use of industrial generators. Results from this project will inform the update to Cambodia’s NDC in 2025. |

1- conduct an assessment report on the status of air pollution from industrial generators through the preparation of a strategic plan to reduce air pollution from industrial generators.
2- strengthen the capacity of officials to monitor air pollution sources from the use of industrial generators. |
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.) |
Heavy-duty vehicles and engines are a priority sector for Cambodia’s reduction of harmful short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs), including from factories and generators. A more detailed assessment of the stationary engine sector is needed to understand the contribution that can be made to this sector to reduce emissions. |

1-The officers of the Department of Air Quality and Noise Management, officials of MoE and relevant institutions related to the Air Pollution control and monitoring.
2-All Cambodian people. |
