Strengthen the prosperity of smallholder farmers by increasing their linkages to markets and more profitable agribusiness or agro-industry.

The project is divided into two components: a value chain development component and a value chain financing component.
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.)
This project participates in the government pentagon strategy phaseI implementation as well as the national strategic development plan, especially promoting and increasing value added in Cambodia's agricultural sector.
16. BENEFITS (Who will benefit, directly and indirectly, from the project?)
The project will directly benefit smallholder farmers who participate in the promotion of the project's target value chains (rice, fine rice, vegetables, safe vegetables, safe spices, field chicken, Khmer chicken, and cassava) and indirectly benefit agricultural communities, farmer organizations, small and micro enterprises, agro-industries, service enterprises, and industry associations.
