This project will support the Cambodia’s Digital Transformation and Capacity Building for government officer and private sector, especially MSMEs, to have a capacity and knowledge on IPRs and using it for developing their products, value added, and research development which will contribute to the Pentagonal Strategy Phase I.

- Supporting for Cambodia’s Digital transformation: The establishment of the National Trademark and Brand Management Center represents a pivotal step towards bolstering Cambodia's digital transformation and reinforcing its business infrastructure. Through this forward-looking initiative, the country aims to foster a more innovative, competitive, and dynamic marketplace while safeguarding the rights and interests of businesses, creators, and investors alike. - Enhancing its global trade and business standing: As part of Cambodia's broader digital transformation efforts, the establishment of the National Trademark and Brand Management Center aligns with the nation's commitment to fostering innovation-driven economic growth, attracting foreign investments, and enhancing its global trade and business standing. By providing a reliable and technologically advanced platform, this initiative strives to elevate Cambodia's business infrastructure to international standards, fostering a conducive ecosystem for businesses to thrive and contribute to the country's sustainable development goals.
14. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Provide a description of the project and all its components.)
This project will support the Cambodia’s Digital Transformation and enhancing the Cambodia’s trade and business through establishing the National Trademark and Brand Management Center in order to promote more innovation, competitive, and dynamic marketplace with the protection their rights and interest of right holder, and enhance the trade activities.
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.)
If the project is designed and implemented successfully, it will facilitate the exchange of business data, market trends, and business opportunities, fostering innovation and growth in various industries. And it will promote the goal of becoming an exporter of processed agricultural products and toward high middle-income country by 2030.
16. BENEFITS (Who will benefit, directly and indirectly, from the project?)
This project will contribute for improved livelihoods to people, businesses and investors and the national economic growth, as well as other benefits such as: - The direct beneficiary of this project is the entire government of the recipient country. Recipient country governments aiming for e-government and government departments that utilize trademark and business data (Ministry of Commerce and member of the National Committee for Intellectual Property) - 9,020,278 labor force in the recipient country who are engaged in all industries, which is about 82.7% of the recipient country's population - 2.98million people working in 753,670 companies in the recipient country engaged in overall industries.

The Ministry has skills and experience required to implement the project, but also needs the cooperation of national and international experts to provide trainings.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic and not enough sources to implement and require all related firms and ministries to join, this project still not implement yet.
