- To strengthen the capacity of the resource managers from the different Mekong economies on sustainable forest management - To increase the pool of skilled natural resource management (NRM) professionals

This project has the following main activities: 1. Workshop to Review the relevance of the training program and evolving 2. International Workshops in the Mekong Region 3. Workshop to share experiences and study visits to the projects of the Forestry Administration and stakeholders
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.)
Seeing the real needs, each project manager finds it difficult to communicate and understand the work related to the forestry sector, so the project will provide additional opportunities for them to help each other share project achievements and challenges as well as share knowledge to stakeholders to get better knowledge

The project has strengthened the capacity of Forestry Administration officials andstakeholders through study tours, participation in workshops, internships, and exchange of experiences in the Mekong region.

This project has no impact of gender and role of men and women in the communities, while women are encouraged to participate in the project activities.

The officials who are responsible for this project have enough capacity and experience to implement this project, while we need also need technical support.
23. STATUS OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION: (Provide a brief update on the progress of the project to date. Discuss any major problems causing delays in project implementation.)
The project was implemented for 4 months in 2019 and was suspended due to 19 problems. In January 2023, the project resumed and is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
