To improve the condition, safety and climate resilience of selected national road corridors in Cambodia. |

The project will systematically introduce the design that includes climate proofing and road safety measure and the use of performance based contracts. |
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.) |
The project aims to upgrade about 218km of national road in Kampot, Preah Sihanouk, Tbong Khmum and Kratie province from double Bituminous Surface Treatment road paved conditions to Asphalt Concrete paved roads through performance based contracts. |
16. BENEFITS (Who will benefit, directly and indirectly, from the project?) |
Improvement of the national roads under the project will serve about 1,000,000 project beneficiaries, the vast majority of whom are the rural poor. |
