After having operated the New Container Terminal-Phase 2 (400 meters length and -16.5 meters depth) in 2028 and New Container Terminal-Phase 3 (430 meters length and -17.5 meters depth) in 2029, PAS will be able to attract the direct shipping services with Europe/North America to-from Cambodia without the transshipment in the other ports contributing to the economic benefit by reducing the transport time and cost and enhancement of the Cambodian economy. |

The objective of the Project is to improve the container cargo handling capacity of Sihanoukville Port, the only international deep sea port in Cambodia, by expanding new container terminal and related infrastructure, thereby contributing to increase in shipping routes calling at Sihanoukville Port as well as to increase the trade facility in the Kingdom of Cambodia. |

The Project consists of the four (04) major package as summarized below:.
a- Package 1: Civil Work of New Container Terminal-Phase 2 (400m length and -16.5m depth)
b- Package 2: Procurement of Cargo Handling Equipment for NCT2 & NCT 3
c- Package 3: Procurement of Working Vessels (02 Tugboats, 01 Pilot boat)
d- Package 4: Civil Work of New Container Terminal-Phase 2 (430m length and -17.5m depth)

The construction of the New Container Terminal-Phase 2 (400 meters length and -16.5 meters depth) in 2028 and New Container Terminal-Phase 3 (430 meters length and -17.5 meters depth) in 2029 and equipping with the modern Container Handling Equipment and the procurement of Working Vessels in order to provide a vibrant, safe and efficient logistics system aimed at contributing to the enhancement of national competitiveness and people’s welfare in response to the national policies related to port capacity improvement are as follows:
1-Rectangular Strategy Phase IV (2018-2023),
2-National Strategic Development Plan (2019-2023), and
3-Cambodia Industrial Development Policy (2015-2025)

Project Management Unit (PMU), which is the expertized unit and has sufficient experience for implementation of the Project, shall continue to manage and implement the said Project.
