13. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: (Describe the major purpose of the project.)
The project aims to secure the safeguarding of artifacts outside storage, research, document for preservation as well as enhance the value of cultural heritage throughout the country, and increase the legal knowledge of cultural heritage protection to the public to participation inpreservation and conservation national Heritage.
14. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Provide a description of the project and all its components.)
1-Banteay Meanchey Province This project is implemented in all districts / municipalities in Banteay Meanchey province, which is divided into three main stages: - Gather information on the location of artifacts in Banteay Meanchey province. - Select priority districts that are vulnerable to loss or destruction in remote districts. - List of artifacts collected at temporary safe places, such as pagodas, commune office, district office, and headquarters of the Armed Forces. - Demark the ancient site. The project consists of photographing, measuring, mapping the location of artifacts, temples, archeological sites, and transporting them to a safe location or storage of the Department of Culture and Fine Arts and the provincial museum. To reduce the trade in antiquities of illegal's traders. 2- Kampong Cham Province - Research, collect data and register inventory of antiquities outside the storage Transporting artifacts scattered in various areas to be stored at Kampong Cham Provincial Museum

The selection of these projects is aimed at saving artifact outside storage from high-risk conditions by preserving the national identity, history and ancient Khmer arts well intact.
