The project will contribute actively to generation of income for local community and the government as well as promotion of effective management of forest resources with participation from local community. |

Forest in Cambodia is rich in wildlife, Biodiversity, cultural resources, religion, tradition, and traditional Knowledge of local community which has potential for the development of nature based tourism to contribute to generation of income for local community and ensure sustainable financing for effective management and use of forest resources with a number of proposed activities including development of infrastructure, preparation of regulations and policy and network communication. |
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.) |
Currently tourism sector in Cambodia is flourishing with international and national tourism visiting World Heritage Angkor Temples. At the same time, nature based tourism is one of destinations concentrated by international tourism as well as domestic one. Tourism sector is considered one of industries that provide revenue to national and local economy to enable economic growth. Witnessing this potential, we should provide alternative destinations to tourists in Cambodia. |

The project will provide revenue to national economy and income to local community. |

The Institution has the capacity to do project but training should be promoted to reflect current tourism development.
