Participate significantly in the protection and conservation and promotion of heritage in the area of Sambor Prei Kuk to survive and provide knowledge and experience. Contributing to the implementation of the fourth phase of the Rectangular Strategic Policy is good governance, as this project contributes to reducing poverty and increasing the number of tourists visiting Cambodia, leading to an increase in national budget revenue. Conserve and develop sustainably the management of forests, aquatic animals and litter in the Sambor Prei Kuk resort area to enhance the cultural and environmental landscape to attract more national and international tourists. As well as contributing 1. Let the people living in the protected areas understand the law and cooperate in the management, conservation and development of the Sambor Prei Kuk temple resort in a sustainable manner. 2. Facilitate the travel of tourists and the mechanism of attracting more tourists to visit the resort 3. Participate in the conservation of core areas and buffer zones to preserve the ancient values and original status of the resort. |

13. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: (Describe the major purpose of the project.) |
The project aims to preserve the Sambor Prei Kuk site, including
- Temple prevention and safeguard the bas- relief from at-risk situations,
- Conduct research on archeology, anthropology, intangible heritage and document it for future
generations
-Research and record temple in order to conserve and promote the SPK site for future
generations.
The purpose of the project is also to strengthen and simplify tourism services in responsible and sustainable development for attracting more tourists which is the national revenue source.
- Increasing the tourism potential of the Sambor Prei Kuk site through the promotion of the
international community.
- Contribute to poverty reduction and improve the lives of local people by increasing the revenue
of tourists visiting Cambodia.
- Increase awareness of heritage to both local and foreign people.
- Develop infrastructures for tourism and people living in protected areas by cooperating to
continue to build traditional Khmer houses and manage the proper land use between protected
area and land Develop.
- Community development through the restoration of ancient irrigation systems and the establishment of agro-tourism communities in the north and west of the temple zone in Sambor Prei Kuk Site.
- Enhancing environmental protection in green:
• Identify the wildlife, semi-dense forest cover, forest cover and flooded forest to be protected,
protected and developed.
• Study the reserve land to replant
• Study the natural saplings that promote good maintenance.
• Study the agricultural land of the people, and encourage them to plant trees in people's fields
to regenerate forest cover.

B-Awareness raising Mechanism on the Management of Construction, Improvement of Physical Infrastructure and Land use in Protected Zones of Sambor Prei Kuk, Satellite zone of Protected zone the Sambor Prei Kuk site:
1-Land use statistics collection project objectives)៖
- To establish a clear and efficient land Use data management system (Database Land Management)
- To allocate land based on its potential, specifying which land should be conserved, which should be developed, and which is suitable for residential development, agricultural use (Rice field and cashew).
- To prevent improper land use that may impact the value of cultural heritage (archaeological sites and cultural landscape through planning and improvements by local communities and authorities)
2- Project for Village Development Planning in buffer and satellite zone:
- Responding to requests and proposals from citizens through democratic processes and local governance
- Designating locations for residential development according to the master plan, avoiding unplanned development or actions that may impact cultural heritage
- Addressing population growth issues in each village, where descendants require new hous-
ing to form new households
- Reducing domestic violence, divorce, and family breakdowns
- Encouraging citizens to contribute land in Core zone(city and temple zone), to be preserved as state land with significant importance for maintaining cultural heritage in the Sambor Prei Kuk Site.
- Contributing to reducing poverty and migration
3-Project for Repairing and Maintaining Road in temple Complexes:
- Responding to requests and proposals from citizens and national and international tourists, who often raise concerns when visiting the Sambor Prei Kuk Temple complex.
- To facilitate travel and access to the temples while ensuring that it does not negatively affect tourists.
C-Strengthen general support services: to ensure efficient, transparent and accountable operations
D-Strengthen and expand tourism and outreach services:
1-Improving and creating many events to expose and compete the local products and tourism services in order to, be better qualities in reaching through attracting to visitors, and cooperation with the governmental and private sectors to take action of tourism sports events in site.
2-Extending the new visiting destinations in site to serving the tourists’ satisfaction.
3-New creation, arrangement, and improve the tourism constructions and every instructions in order to serve tourists services in site, such as: the way of visit, small and main parks, eating meal places, camping, meditation community art performance and beautiful sight of cultural and natural landscapes areas.
4-Widely promoting the Site potential by directly displaying the signboards, by social media and reaching to digital systematic uses for spreading tourist tips for more facilitatively investigate the site.
E-Forest management, wildlife, water and garbage in the area of Sambor Prei Kuk :
1-Workshop or Billboards on importance of forest and waste management to ensure that the nature is still green and clean environment.

15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.) |
The Sambor Prei Kuk site composes of temples and other archaeological traces, as well as forests and plantations. Both these temples and nature are facing daily challenges. These negative controls are important to keep the legacy going. Therefore, the main task is to conserve the temples of the site of the Sambor Prei Kuk site, which is a national and World Heritage site, to prevent and save the bas-reliefs from risky situations, to study the value of cultural heritage and to transfer knowledge to the next generation to be better about heritage and Sambor Prei Kuk site.
Environmental concerns are the conservation of wildlife, forest cover, water and cultural values and the enhancement of the environment in the site.
In order to avoid the impact of housing development, tourism, land management does not affect or lose any value of Sambor Prei Kuk cultural heritage site (3 values of Sambor Prei Kuk cultural heritage: global value, ancient value, original value ) Is a matter of concern.
Increasing the tourist potential of Sambor Prei Kuk site is as a matter of concern by strengthening and facilitating the tourism services in the site with high responsibility and sustainable development and especially to attract more tourists more and more that is the source of national budget revenue. This is helping to improve the lives of local people by increasing the revenue from tourists visiting Cambodia. Other measures to help curb crime and tourist safety are necessary.

There is no impact on the environment and society, but it helps to reduce poverty by providing employment and knowledge in the conservation of cultural heritage. The project also helps prevent crime and protect the natural environment, prevent non-Khmer style constructions to attract more tourists to visit, people can sell food and other products to earn income to help reduce poverty. |
