To facilitate the development of diversified agriculture value chains in selected geographical areas in Cambodia and to provide immediate and effective response in the event of a crisis or emergency. |

Cambodia Agricultural Sector Diversification Project (CASDP) comprises the following five components: (a) Enabling Agriculture Diversification; (b) Supporting Public Infrastructure; (c) Improving Agriculture Information Systems and Quality Control Management; (d) Project Management, Coordination, and Monitoring and Evaluation; and (e) Contingent Emergency Response. |

The implementation of the project will contribute to achieving the Rural Development Strategic Plan 2019-2023 |

|
The agricultural Cooperatives, Productive organizations, and Small and Medium Enterprises will have access to irrigation systems, agricultural transportation from farms to markets roads (Rural Roads). And the beneficiaries will receive Matching Grant and Credit line from the project. |

The Ministry of Rural Development has established the Project Implementation Unit to implement the project for component2: Supporting public infrastructures( rural road improvement). The PIU was formed by MRD's officers who have enough skills and experience to implement the project.

Package01: 22.5km of road length for 3ACs (Agricultural Cooperatives) in Kampong Cham is ongoing to be implemented which 50% of civil work has been completed.
Package02: 45 km of road length for 6ACs is ongoing to be implemented which 10% of civil work has been completed.
Package03: 25.67 km have been sent to the World Bank for review and provide NOL Therefore the total road of 125.21 km will be improved as concrete road, DBST and laterite pavement. |

-The project is financed by World Bank with 10% of RGC.
