The design of the component is to strengthen CNMC/MOWRAN/PDOWRAM capacity in the three province in technical knowledge on IWRM and support for the inter-provincial coordination to share hydro-met data and strengthening trans-boundary cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam.

14. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Provide a description of the project and all its components.)
Cambodia has adopted the Integrated Water Resources Management principles for water resources management and development in a sustainable manner as stipulated in the Cambodia Water Law, article 4. As is foreseen that there is potential development and management of water resources in the country and there are facing challenges which need to be addressed. Cambodia National Mekong Committee has requested to the World Bank for funding support for this priority project and it is submitted to the Royal Government of Cambodia for consideration and approval.

-Water Resources Management and Related Resources. -Capacity Building and Knowledge.
16. BENEFITS (Who will benefit, directly and indirectly, from the project?)
The CNMC/MOWRAM/PDOWRAM and line agencies and the communities of the three province in Kratie, Stung Treng and Mondulkiri and the communities in the two sub-basin.
