1- Study on semen quality and dilution; 2- Breeding by using Artificial Insemination; 3- Study on hatching rate; and 4- Study on growth performance.
14. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Provide a description of the project and all its components.)
1- Selecting high weight local chicken, 1000 hences with >2 Kg of body weight, and 100 Cockerels with > 3 Kg of body weight, by allocating in separated cage; 2- Examing the semen quality; 3-Breeding and hatching; 4- Vaccinating program; 5- Making concentration feed by using corn and soyabean.
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.)
High population growth, high price of meat for consumption, number local chicken decrease dramatically but the price is high- local chicken meat is palatability- however there was high mortality, so shortage of support for raising.
16. BENEFITS (Who will benefit, directly and indirectly, from the project?)
Produced local chicken will provide to farmers, increase farmer household income, reduce poverty, enhance food safety, support government policy and enhance students' knowledge.

Poverty reduction through generating the farmer household income, market for local chicken is available, sell in high price and low mortality.

Small animal, women can easily keep at backyard, if farming husband and family members can join, provide job for family, reduce immigration.

Prof. Dr. Chhumpith Loan, specialist in chicken breeding, graduated doctoral degree in 1995 in poultry breeding.
23. STATUS OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION: (Provide a brief update on the progress of the project to date. Discuss any major problems causing delays in project implementation.)
1- Selecting high body weight chicken and raising in separating cage, 2- Analyze the semen quality, 3- Breeding with Artificial Insemination and Hatching, 4- Prepare vaccination program with different age, 5- Feeding with home made concentrate by using corn and soybean. The measuring parameters as following: weekly and daily weight gain, daily feed intake, feed conversion ratio, Hatching rate and semen quality.etc.
