This project aims to save the temples from dangerous situations, documentary research, documentation for the next generation in preserving and preserving the heritage values in the Angkor region and serving the tourism industry. |

1-Renovation of Northwest Gate (Royal Palace)
2-Renovation of Southwest gate (Royal Palace)
3-Renovation of Srah Srey pond (Royal Palace)
4-Renovation of Southeast corner of Phiman Akas temple
5-Renovation of Southeast corner brick construction
6-Renovation of Southeast corner stone construction
7-Renovation of Phiman Akas Temple
8-Renovation of stone structure on the West side of Phiman Akas temple
9-Renovation of Long terrace next to the western wall of the Royal Palace
10-Renovation of the whole enclosure of the Royal Palace.
The 10 major sites for renovation as listed above are for the following major purposes:
1-Excavation research program
2-Preservation and restoration of temples
3-Improve the surrounding environment
4-Exhibition and its use
5-International training and exchange program |
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.) |
Some of the temple building materials were lost, stone and brick structures were decomposed due to age, civil war, lack of maintenance and natural damage. Therefore, in order to save the temples from the danger situation, the technical team from the Chinese government plans to organize the preservation and restoration of the temple structures to reduce the age of the temple damage and preserve the heritage for mankind in the future. |
