13. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: (Describe the major purpose of the project.)
The objective of the Project is to provide enhanced civil aviation meteorological infrastructure and improve services and products that directly support reliable and safe all-weather flight operations across the Cambodian FIR to relevant World Meteorology Organization (WMO) and ICAO standards and recommended practices of air transportation.
14. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: (Provide a description of the project and all its components.)
The Project scope for Establishing Consist of 5 Components: 1- Civil work and Building work for Meteorological center 2- Provision of Equipment 3- Provision of full set training 4- Provision of Long Term Experts (Expat) 5- Provision of Consultant services
15. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: (Give reasons why this particular project is considered worthwhile.)
- Saving in the travel time; - accelerated tourism, industrial and agricultural flow; - improve livelihood of people in the project influence area; - better connectivity with local and sub-regional air networks; - increase amount of goods and numbers of people transported by air and - improve attractiveness of that area.
16. BENEFITS (Who will benefit, directly and indirectly, from the project?)
Improvements to aviation meteorological services will be of benefit to airlines, pilots, dispatchers, and those engaged in air traffic management. It is also desirable to extend the notion of international standards to embrace domestic flights and aircraft safety.
