At present, the volume of cargo throughput at Sihanoukville Port is 541,288 (As 2018. Whereas, PAS consist of the existing container yard with 15 ha, but it is estimated the requirement of the container yard with 30ha in upcoming 2025 (JICA Survey Study in cooperation with PAS). That why PAS had purchased the total land area with 54 ha, which is located along the NR No. 4 and distance about 25Km from Sihanoukville Port to serving for Inland Container Depot (ICD). In Phase-I, PAS is planning to develop and improve the land area with 30ha and equipping the container handling machineries and equipment etc. |

The objective of the Project is the development of Inland Container Deport (ICD) with 54ha and equipping the container handling machineries and equipment in order to maximize the container cargo handling capacity of PAS, reduce the traffic congestion in front of access road of container terminal, to increase the efficiency of the container handling equipment, shall be played the role as Pre-gate, the empty Container storage yard, the container truck parking and others vehicles and especially, it will develop the surrounding area to be the future development area for Preah Sihanouk province contributing to accelerate the economic growth of Cambodia. |

The Project consists of the seven (04) major components as summarized below. This scope of the Project may be subjected to change during the course the Survey Study.
a- Construction and development the Inland Container Depot (ICD) with 20ha;
b- Procurement of container handling machineries and equipment ;
c- Administration Building and Maintenance Shop Building, and |

The development of Inland Container Deport (ICD) with 54ha and equipping the container handling machineries and equipment in order to maximize the container cargo handling capacity of PAS, reducing the traffic congestion in front of access road of container terminal at the weekend to secure the sustainability of import-export of cargoes flow-in and out of Sihanoukville Port with the competitiveness of services in response to Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025. |

-Directly benefit to 230,000 people of Preah Sihanouk Province; and
-Indirectly befit to 15 million of Cambodian people. |

Project Management Unit (PMU), which is the expertized unit and have the sufficient experience for implementation of the Project, shall continuous to manage and implement the said Project.
